CFM is Not Health Insurance…
Your membership in our medical practice guarantees you unlimited visits with your doctor (in our office), and by cell phone 24/7. It also covers all routine exams, lab work, and other services performed within our office.
CFM does not cover medical services received elsewhere. Therefore, we recommend that you maintain conventional health insurance to cover potentially large medical expenses which may occur outside our office, such as hospitalization, emergency room visits, specialist visits, and imaging.
However, you may find that you can significantly reduce the cost of your conventional health insurance by changing to a high deductible plan that covers only catastrophic illness. This cost savings alone may largely offset your annual CFM membership fee. Think of your health insurance like your car insurance. With good quality day-to-day maintenance, there won’t be a need for insurance to step in at all, but it’s there if something catastrophic happens.
